| The official launch our fast response vessel, Jaimee Lee will take place on Thursday, September 3 at 1000hrs. It will be launched by the CEO of FESA, Ms Jo Harrison-Ward. All members welcome. |

Thursday, September 3, 2009 saw the official launch of R.V.S.R.G.'s fast response vessel, the "Jaimee Lee". Just over 70 people turned up for the launch which commenced in the group's headquarters with an address from Commander John Reilly and the C.E.O. of F.E.S.A., Ms Jo Harrison-Ward. A presentation of a FLIR thermal imaging camera was made on behalf of donors BHP-Billiton's Nickel West Refinery and the City of Rockingham. Guests, sponsors and group members them moved down to the pontoon at Point Peron where the vessel was christened with champagne and then guests and sponsors were treated to high speed runs to show off its capabilities with all being very impressed with its speed and maneuverability.
