The official launch of Jaimee Lee The official launch our fast response vessel, Jaimee Lee will take place on Thursday, September 3 at 1000hrs. It will be launched by the CEO of FESA, Ms Jo Harrison-Ward. All members welcome.
   
Return to "summer hours" at VN6KC. The radio watch at VN6KC will return to "summer hours" on Sunday, 30th August. Radio watch will be available from 0600 to 2200 hours 7 days a week, and telephone coverage, on 9528 2222, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
RampCam. Coming soon, courtesy of the WA Fisheries Dept. Ramp Cams on Mandurah, Point Peron and Cockburn ramps allows boaties to view tides and congestion before leaving home.
The official launch of the Jaimee Lee

Thursday, September 3, 2009 saw the official launch of R.V.S.R.G.'s fast response vessel, the "Jaimee Lee".

Just over 70 people turned up for the launch which commenced in the group's headquarters with an address from Commander John Reilly and the C.E.O. of F.E.S.A., Ms Jo Harrison-Ward.

A presentation of a FLIR thermal imaging camera was made on behalf of donors BHP-Billiton's Nickel West Refinery and the City of Rockingham. Guests, sponsors and group members them moved down to the pontoon at Point Peron where the vessel was christened with champagne and then guests and sponsors were treated to high speed runs to show off its capabilities with all being very impressed with its speed and maneuverability. Morning tea concluded the proceedings back at headquarters.
